The Danish Pipeshop- also known as The Company of Poul Hansen
- is one of the few 100% pipe and tobacco shops in Europe.

The shop was bought from Poul Hansen in 1969 by Steffen Nielsen.
Before that time Steffen Nielsen had been working for different
pipe and tobacco shops in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Since then all pipes leaving the shop are handpicked by
Steffen Nielsen himself.
Today he has 40 years of experience and has seen pipefactories
and knows pipemakers all over the world.

Denmark is well known for producing high quality pipes
and especially known for the many
individual pipemakers
who produce everything by hand
which ends up
in 150 - 300 pipes a year.

Many of these pipemakers sell their pipes through
Steffen Nielsen,
and
we are happy to show you some of them on this site.

As the shop is situated on the international
Pedestrian Street "Stroget" in Copenhagen,
it is visited by pipesmokers from Greenland to Thailand
and from the USA to Russia.

The international influence combined with the classical taste
of the Danish pipesmokers has created our selection
of more than
2500 pipes and 400 different pipe tobaccos and cigars.
