From the father of modern pipemaking, Sixten Ivarsson, we have this gorgeous quarter bent dublin with very nice grain. Despite a few scratches, some charring etc. its in good shape and we love it!. The pipe has been refurbished by Tom Eltang. Stem is not original and Tom has been in the archives to find pictures of a similar shape in order to make it in the spirit of Sixten. Followers of Danish and Swedish handmade pipes will know that a Sixten pipe is the ‘holy grail’ of pipe collecting. If you don’t know that much about Sixten and find yourself being confused over the Sweden versus Denmark thing, he was a Swedish guy living in Copenhagen, Denmark, married to a Danish woman, so he was in a way both Swedish/Danish.
