For this series Chris Morgan uses the root wood of the strawberry tree (lat. Arbutus), related to the Erica Arborea, which is used for normal briar bowls. Until now we only knew about Arbutus pipes by freehand artists Reiner Thilo Bindschädel, Volkan Pipes and Paolo Becker. The Arbutus tree is as heat resistant as briar, very light and adds a sweet flavour to your smoking experience. When worked on at the belt sander, it almost smells like popcorn.
The shape is a great blasted cherrywood/poker sitter with swirly brown acrylic stem.
