Pipepack pipes are what we call "war pipes". The reason is that they are made of birch wood and not the primary pipe wood briar. Since briar wood was imported to the Danish pipe factories from the Mediterranean area it was impossible to get it during the second world war. So with no briar wood available the pipe producers in Denmark used local birch wood. Birch wood is a different type of wood compared to briar. They grain is different and it is not as hard. Therefore birch wood pipes are considered on the same level as corn cob pipes. It will probably not last for ever.
Here you get a box with five assorted pipes. Pipepack pipes are only sold in boxes with five. Most likely two bent and three straight. Some are smooth and some are sandblasted. Pipepack set is perfect for a group that wants to test pipesmoking or you who has a tendancy to wear out your pipes. Measurements are pretty standard and we have written an average under specifications.
