Stanwell Plateaux is a limited series by Stanwell launched in 2020. Plateaux is a reference to the briar wood used for the pipes and the plateaux part is from top top of the block. The top has the bark and you often get some very nice grain. This new model 62B is made as a celebration of the briar wood and only the best blocks of briar plateaux are used. All Stanwell pipes have lifetime warranty.
It's a fine bent freehand - somewhat Dublin style - with briar plateaus top and silver ring. Freehand pipes have a tendancy to be quite big or medium plus, but they have really hit a good standard size with this one (please check the specs). If you are a fan of Stanwell's iconic model 63 this would be a good next step. This is the brown polished version and what you see is what you get!
