Benni Jørgensen
When exploring the rich history of Danish pipe culture, it is impossible to overlook the legacy of W.Ø. Larsen – our former “neighbour” on Strøget. The Larsen workshop was a true powerhouse in Danish pipe making, having shaped and inspired some of the most renowned artisans in the field. Just think of the names who honed their craft there: Teddy Knudsen, Søren Refbjerg, Tonni Nielsen, and Former, to mention only a few. Among these remarkable talents was the exceptional carver Benni Jørgensen.
Today, Benni resides in the southern part of the island of Sjælland, where he continues to craft high-grade pipes under his own name. Not only has he firmly established himself among the elite of Danish pipemakers, but he has also passed his passion and expertise on to the next generation — his son, Lasse Skovgaard, whose work we are equally proud to represent.
As of 2025, Benni’s production remains very limited, with his pipes exclusively available through only two retailers worldwide — and we are honoured to be one of them.
