My Own Blend
The cornerstone of the Danish My Own Blend brand has always been the tobacco shops - it’s been like that since Paul Olsen established the first one back in the 1930s.
The idea was that any pipe smoker should be able to walk in, have a chat with the blender, and then have his or hers personal blend composed. It became a very popular concept, with regular visitors from all corners of the society (among them King Frederik IX and famous satirist Storm P), and today there are more than 10.000 unique recipes in the archive.
A number of the blends were so good and popular that they went into regular production - and many of them still are!
