Meet The Pipemaker Event 2023
We are proud to present Danish pipemaker, Lasse Skovgaard, as our main pipemaker at the Meet The Pipemaker event on Saturday March 18th, 10am-3pm.
Lasse brings his latest work and looks forward to talking about pipes and pipemaking with you.
Lasse Skovgaard was born in 1983, but despite his relatively young age, he celebrates his 40th birthday along with his 20th anniversary as a fulltime pipemaker this year.
Lasse started working at W. Ø. Larsen’s pipe workshop and as today he is working independently under his own name.
Lasse makes around 300-500 handmade pipes per year with the branding of his own name. He also uses the By Skovgaard name which is the branding of his more affordable pipes.
Lasse sells his pipes worldwide and of course through The Danish Pipe Shop as his local pipe shop.
Also, he is the nicest guy, and we always enjoy his company.
The Meet The Pipemaker-event at The Danish Pipe Shop is a returning event where we warm up for the Danish pipesmoking competition held in Copenhagen, Sunday March 19th.
It is our experience that many from abroad together with the Danes take a ‘pipe holiday’ over this weekend starting with our event on Saturday.
